Depending on the situation you might want to let others know about your situation. For example, in our case, a site blatantly copied hundreds of recipes/articles from one of my sites, stole photos that I had spent hours creating when I made the recipes and literally cropped my watermarks out my photos and used distorted versions of them on their own sites.
